MBC Property Services provides a wide range of residential property maintenance and refurbishment projects. We are looking for someone with a drive to deliver excellence and a strong eye for detail.

The ideal candidate will have a trade background to do all aspects of refurbishment work.

Successful applicants should be NVQ or City and Guild qualified OR have proven working experience. They will also be reliable, diplomatic and pro-active with good all-round knowledge and experience in the general building trades. A CSCS card is desirable.

The right candidate will be able to work well both unsupervised and as part of a team.

Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence.

As work is often carried out in occupied residences an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check will be carried out.

The nature of this role requires working at various locations across Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire, occasionally further afield. There may be times that require transferring from one site to another to meet our business needs.

You may be provided with the use of a company vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

• To undertake a range of planned maintenance, installation or repairs, demonstrating a diverse skill set, including the following trades: Plumbing, Carpentry, Joinery, Painting/Decorating, Plastering, Tiling, Kitchens and Bathroom, Minor brickwork, landscaping and fencing
• Ability to identify Health and Safety actions prior to and during works, considering yourself, the team and those around you
• Excellent customer service skills and commitment to deliver high quality standards, always striving to exceed expectations
• Managing material requirements and co-ordinating access for efficient task completion
• Where required, conduct surveys and data capturing, completing all necessary documentation, ensuring all policies and procedures are complied with
• Assisting with quality checks, to ensure compliance requirements are adhered to at all times
• Excelling in providing practical technical solutions
• Managing sub-contractors to ensure quality and efficiency
• Delivery of works to professional timescales
• Ability to adapt to clients changing needs
• Ability to use appropriate access equipment

Knowledge / Experience:

• Qualified to NVQ2 level in Building Maintenance, Multi Trade repair and refurbishment operations or demonstrate equivalent trade experience. 
• Adhere to site safety rules, including always wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach
• Experienced in planned maintenance and small scale refurbishment projects
• Full UK driving licence
• Valid CSCS card (desirable) 
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Demonstrate effective time management
• Have a strong work ethic and take pride in your work
• Must be able to travel to work
• Must be able to stay away from home occasionally
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

The successful candidates will need:

• Good knowledge of 1st and 2nd fix
• An excellent eye for detail
• Making good to a high standard
• Must have good selection of own tools

Competitive rates of pay offered for the right candidate depending on experience.

£180.00 - £300.00 per day

The working week is 40 hours onsite, Monday to Friday with a ½ hour unpaid lunch break. Paid overtime will be available depending on operational demands.
